Putin referred to the commitment to traditional values expressed by Mali's transitional president, Assimi Goita, and highlighted the commonality it represents between Russia and many African countries.
According to Putin, traditional values are an integral part of identity, existence and sovereignty, forming the bedrock of their respective statehood. Recognizing the importance of these shared principles, Putin emphasized their role in strengthening the bond between Russia and African nations and fostering cooperation based on mutual understanding and respect.
