Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Tajikistan counterpart Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation on Friday. According to the Kremlin press service, the leaders congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen cooperation between the states.
"During the exchange of views on key topics on the bilateral agenda, the mood for further strengthening of the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries was confirmed," the report said. - "In this context, the importance of consistent implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of the President of Tajikistan to Russia in December 2021, as well as the continuation of close coordination within multilateral organizations, primarily in the CIS, CSTO and SCO, was noted."
Putin and Rahmon agreed to remain in close contact, the Kremlin added.
