Putin appointed Mantytsky as Russian ambassador to Bangladesh

Russian President Vladimir Putin has replaced Russia's Ambassador to Bangladesh. The corresponding decrees of the head of state were published on Wednesday on the official portal of legal information.


"To release Ignatov Alexander Ivanovich from the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the People's Republic of Bangladesh," one of the decrees reads.


The second decree appoints Alexander Mantytsky to this position.


Mantytsky was Russia's ambassador to Afghanistan from 2014-2020. He has been in the diplomatic service since 1984.
