Putin Appoints New Russian Ambassador to Niger

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Viktor Voropaev as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Niger.

 

“[To]Appoint Viktor Sergeyevich Voropaev as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Niger,” the presidential decree stated.

 

In a separate decree, Igor Gromyko was relieved of his duties as ambassador to Niger, a post he held concurrently.
