Putin Appoints Yerkhov as New Ambassador to Uzbekistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Alexei Yerkhov as Russia’s ambassador to Uzbekistan, according to a presidential decree published on the official legal portal.

 

“[To] appoint Alexei Vladimirovich Yerkhov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the decree states.

 

Earlier, by presidential decree, Yerkhov was relieved of his duties as Russia’s ambassador to Turkey.
