Putin Asks Pezeshkian to Convey Best Wishes to Iran’s Supreme Leader

Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to convey his greetings and best wishes to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

 

“I am glad to have this new meeting with you. At the beginning of our conversation, I would like to ask you to extend my greetings and best wishes to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mr. Khamenei,” Putin stated during the talks.

 

The Russian leader also emphasized the special nature of the multifaceted bilateral ties between Moscow and Tehran. He recalled that during the Iranian president’s visit to Russia in January, the two countries signed an updated interstate treaty, elevating their relationship to a new level.
