Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured that he will continue to remain in contact with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.
The Russian head of state made such a promise when he saw the guest off on the porch of Sochi's Bocharov Ruchei residence. The two leaders had talks there on Tuesday.
Putin thanked the Palestinian President for his visit. "We remain in contact with you," he said.
The Russian President also congratulated his counterpart on Independence Day, which is celebrated in Palestine on November 15. He drew attention to the fact that the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (November 29) will also be celebrated soon.
Abbas, for his part, added that he was very happy to meet. "Likewise," Putin responded.
