Russian President Vladimir Putin phoned Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon to brief him on the outcome of the Russian‑US summit held in Anchorage, the Kremlin said.
Rahmon welcomed steps aimed at a political and diplomatic settlement of the Ukraine crisis. The two leaders also discussed preparations for Putin’s forthcoming state visit to Dushanbe.
They additionally reviewed plans for the upcoming Central Asia–Russia summit and the CIS Heads of State Council meeting, both scheduled to take place in Dushanbe.
