Putin congratulated president of Turkmenistan on thirtieth anniversary of independence

Russian president Vladimir Putin sent a telegram to Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov expressing confidence that the full range of bilateral relations between the countries will be increased, the Kremlin press service reported.


It is noted that Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Berdymukhamedov on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.


"Your country has achieved great success in the economic and social spheres. Turkmenistan's policy of positive neutrality contributes to strengthening stability and security in the Central Asian region," the Russian president said.


The Russian leader stressed that the relations between the two countries are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership, political dialogue, fruitful cooperation in various fields, as well as cooperation within the CIS and other international organizations.


"Putin expressed confidence that the joint efforts will ensure the further build-up of the whole range of bilateral ties, which fully meets the interests of the friendly peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan," the report adds.
