Russian president Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Afghanistan in a telephone conversation with Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan on Tuesday, the Kremlin press service reported.
"During the exchange of views on the situation in Afghanistan, the parties expressed interest in the coordination of approaches of the two countries in order to stabilize it," the statement said.
It is noted that they also discussed prospects for the development of Russian-Pakistani relations in various areas.
