Putin Discusses Upcoming Visit of Tokayev to Russia in Phone Call

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to discuss the preparation for the latter’s forthcoming state visit to Russia, the Kremlin press service reported.

 

The leaders addressed key issues related to the further development of Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance. They expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

 

Tokayev shared his impressions from his recent stay in New York at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and from his contacts with leaders of several foreign states, according to the Kremlin.

 

Additionally, the presidents exchanged views on current regional and international affairs.
