Russia supports African countries in their efforts to resolve conflicts and crises, as well as the fight against terrorism and extremism. This is stated in the telegram of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the Day of Africa, the text of which is published on the Kremlin website.
Putin mentioned that the countries of the continent are "confidently moving along the path of socio-economic and scientific-technological development" and expressed support for the efforts of "African partners" in a number of areas.
“Russia fully supports the efforts of African partners aimed at resolving local conflicts and crises, countering terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking and cross-border crime, other challenges and threats to regional and global security,” the Russian Head highlighted.
It is known that cooperation between Russia and Africa will be discussed at the Russia-Africa summit, which will be held in Sochi in October of this year.
