Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between their countries in a phone call, the Kremlin press service reported.
The leaders confirmed their commitment to “further strengthening the Russia-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance, and to the consistent implementation of joint projects in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres,” according to the statement.
The conversation also covered President Tokayev's upcoming state visit to Russia.
The leaders “discussed practical aspects of bilateral cooperation in preparation for the Kazakh president's forthcoming state visit to Russia,” the Kremlin announcement noted.
