Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended an invitation to Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tareq Al Said to visit Russia in 2024. The invitation was conveyed during a meeting with Crown Prince and Minister of Youth, Culture, and Sports of the Sultanate of Oman, Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said. Putin also requested the crown prince to convey his best wishes to his father, the Sultan of Oman.
"He played a key role in the establishment of our relations," - Putin remarked. - "We would be delighted to host him in Russia at his convenience, possibly next year. This year is drawing to a close," the Russian leader stated.
"I appreciate the invitation, and I am sure that the visit will happen, hopefully in the near future," the crown prince responded. Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said anticipates that such a visit "will create new opportunities for the advancement of bilateral relations."
