The international forum Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum serves as another link connecting Russia with the Global South, President Vladimir Putin said during his annual Year in Review event.
“This forum is very important. We will certainly continue to support it, as it represents another thread tying us to our friends and partners in the Arab and Islamic worlds — and, more broadly, to the entire Global South,” Putin emphasized.
The president did not confirm whether he plans to attend the forum in 2026, noting that he traditionally participates in the Eastern Economic Forum and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, while government members attend other major international platforms.
