Russian president Vladimir Putin on Wednesday at a meeting with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted Russia's successful cooperation with Turkey on international issues, including Syria and Libya.
"In the international arena, we cooperate quite successfully. I mean both Syria and our contacts on coordinating positions on Libya," Putin said.
He also noted the active and productive work of the center for ceasefire monitoring in Karabakh. "The Russian-Turkish center for ceasefire monitoring on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia is active," the Russian leader said. - "This cooperation is a serious guarantee of stability and coordination of the parties' positions on further steps aimed at reconciliation."
"Work on the Akkuyu nuclear power plant continues as planned," the Russian president added.
Concluding his welcoming remarks, Putin noted that there were "a lot of issues to discuss," and stressed that he was glad to see Erdogan in Russia. "You can't discuss everything over the phone, you are welcome," the president concluded.
