Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Beijing that Moscow and Islamabad continue to collaborate actively in various international arenas, including the United Nations.
“Our cooperation through inter-parliamentary channels is ongoing and regular. Pakistan is currently serving as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, and we maintain steady engagement at this important platform,” Putin noted.
He also stressed that Pakistan remains a longstanding and valued partner for Russia in Asia. “We greatly appreciate the strong ties that have been built between our countries,” the Russian leader said.
Putin recalled that their last meeting took place a year ago on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana.
