Putin sends condolences to Indonesian President over sunken submarine tragedy

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widdo over the sinking of the country’s navy submarine in the Bali Sea, according to the information on the Kremlin’s website.


Earlier it was reported that Indonesian rescuers had found several items in the sea representing parts and equipment of the Indonesian Navy diesel submarine that went missing last week Wednesday north of the island of Bali. Later, Xinhua news agency, citing the military, noted that all 53 crew members on the missing Indonesian Navy KRI Nanggala 402 submarine were dead.


‘Dear Mr. President,
Please, accept our deep condolences over the sinking of the Indonesian Navy submarine in the Bali Sea. I ask you to convey the words of sincere compassion and support to the families and close ones of the perished sailors and your whole nation’, the text of condolences says.
