Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on November 23 in Yerevan in person. Russian leader spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters Friday, answering a question about the head of state's schedule for next week.
"There will be a trip to Armenia for the CSTO summit, there will be Russian-Cuban talks [in Moscow]," the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to him, "there will be other events as well."
CSTO summit
The CSTO secretariat earlier reported that the leaders' meeting in Yerevan on November 23 will discuss international and regional security problems, improvement of the organization's crisis response system and joint measures to assist Armenia. In connection with the upcoming rotation on January 1, 2023, the Collective Security Council will consider the issue of the CSTO secretary-general, while President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will present the priorities of the presidency of Minsk in the organization next year.
The summit will be preceded by a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the Committee of Secretaries of CSTO Security Councils.
