Putin to Hold Talks with Guinea-Bissau’s President on February 26

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embaló in the Kremlin as part of Embaló’s state visit to Russia.

 

According to the Kremlin press service, the two leaders will discuss prospects for expanding Russia–Guinea-Bissau cooperation across various sectors, as well as key international and regional issues.

 

Diplomatic engagement between Moscow and Bissau has been active in recent years. Putin and Embaló spoke by phone on January 25, and the Guinea-Bissau leader previously visited Russia on May 9, 2023, holding talks with Putin. He also traveled to Russia in both 2022 and 2023.
