Putin to Visit Kyrgyzstan in November for CSTO Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Kyrgyzstan in November this year to take part in a meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Vakunov told the newspaper Slovo Kyrgyzstana in an interview.

 

According to the ambassador, President Putin is expected to arrive in Bishkek this November to attend the scheduled CSTO Council meeting. The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry told TASS that, based on preliminary information, the CSTO summit is planned for the end of November.

 

It was previously reported that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will also visit Kyrgyzstan in mid-August to participate in a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

 

Kyrgyzstan holds the chairmanship of CSTO bodies in 2025.
