Putin welcomes participants and guests of Russia-Africa forum

Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to the participants and guests of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, highlighting Africa's increasing role as a pole of the emerging multipolar world. In a telegram published on the Kremlin website, Putin emphasized the positive changes taking place in Africa across various sectors, such as production, agriculture, transportation infrastructure, energy, healthcare and education.

 

Moscow is committed to supporting African states in their pursuit of socio-economic stability and progress. Putin expressed his intention "to further enhance cooperation, stimulate trade and investment, address pressing issues like poverty alleviation, modern personnel training, food security, and climate change."

 

 

Russia is determined to assist African partners in strengthening national and cultural sovereignty, as well as their active participation in addressing regional and global challenges. The forum will serve as a platform for exchanging views on ways to strengthen the multifaceted partnership between Russia and African countries.

 

Putin expressed confidence that the forum will play a pivotal role in shaping long-term political and humanitarian interaction between Russia and African states. He extended his appreciation to the African leaders planning to attend the forum and summit in St. Petersburg and wished them fruitful work, along with peace and prosperity for the people of African countries.

 

The second Russia-Africa summit will take place at the Expoforum in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, alongside economic and humanitarian forums. The event will focus on the theme "For Peace, Security and Development," organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
