Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement have not yet started, according to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
At a press briefing, Majid bin Mohammed Al-Ansari, advisor to the Prime Minister and official spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, confirmed that discussions had not formally begun.
"Officially, the talks have not started yet," he stated. "We are working to ensure the agreement is implemented as it stands... We are engaging with both sides to initiate negotiations for the second phase as soon as possible."
