Rafah Crossing on Egypt-Gaza Border to Reopen Next Week

22 January

The Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt is set to reopen for two-way traffic next week, Ali Shaath, Head of the Palestinian Gaza Management Committee, said.

"I am pleased to announce that the Rafah crossing will be opened in both directions next week," he stated in a video address to participants at the inaugural ceremony of the Peace Council in Davos.

He emphasized that the crossing remains a vital lifeline for the residents of Gaza, providing essential access to the outside world.
