Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon views his recent meetings with his counterparts from Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a turning point in regional relations.
"The comprehensive development of close cooperation among our peoples and states—taking into account our shared interests—is a key priority of our foreign policy. That is why we see today’s meetings as a sign of renewal and the beginning of a qualitatively new stage in relations between our three countries," Rahmon stated.
He made these remarks ahead of a concert in Khujand celebrating Navruz, where Japarov and Mirziyoyev were also in attendance.
