After the IX International Conference of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia - Islamic World”, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chairman of the largest party in Bangladesh “Bangladesh Tariqat Federation”, GSV member Syed Nazibul Bashar Maizvandary shared his opinion about the presented event. The conference on the topic “Russia - Islamic World: Fair Multipolar World Order and Secure Development” was held on May 16, 2024 in Kazan.
Mr. Maizvandary expressed gratitude to Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chairman of the Group, Rustam Minnikhanov, for the invitation. The representative of Bangladesh noted the special status of the event and emphasized that cooperation between Russia and the Islamic region is aimed at achieving peace and universal harmony. In this regard, it is extremely important to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict within the framework of the presented conference and the activities of the Group as a whole.
“Russian culture works for the benefit of humanity”, - noted Mr. Maizvandary, expressing respect for the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The representative of Bangladesh noted Russian and Tatar hospitality.
“ Bangladesh's attitude towards Russia has always been positive. Our states have been close friends since Bangladesh gained independence. Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov is also always in our hearts. All Bangladeshis strive to achieve global peace and prosperity through noble means”, - concluded Mr. Maizvandary.
It is important to note that during his speech at the conference, the representative of Bangladesh pointed out the hypocritical policies of the United States of America and the European Union. While calling for respect for human rights throughout the world, these states at the same time support Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. In this regard, the theme of the GSV conference is extremely important, since it discusses the construction of a fair multipolar world order - a violence-free space for the development of diplomatic, cultural and economic ties between representatives of Russia and the Islamic world on the basis of mutual respect and dignity.
Mr. Maizvandary noted that the Russian Federation is the only state in the world that makes real efforts to understand the history and culture of the peoples of every Islamic country, regardless of its size. Referring to the changes taking place in the world, the representative of Bangladesh called for the support of the Russian Federation in the international arena to ensure stability throughout the world.
The speaker made a proposal to form a separate group, which would include representatives of business, culture and education. Such an initiative could be developed within the framework of the activities of the Group of Strategic Vision, with the support of the foreign ministries of the Islamic world and the Russian Federation, among others.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Maizvandary emphasized the need to express in the resolution of the event a protest against Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip as a sign of support for the Palestinian people. The speaker also invited the Group members to Bangladesh to hold one of the next conferences there.
