Special Representative of the Uzbek President for Afghanistan Ismatullah Irgashev and Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov met in Tashkent and discussed possible joint actions of their countries to resolve the situation in Afghanistan. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the Uzbekistan MFA.
"During the conversation, the sides discussed issues of regional security, including the development of the situation in Afghanistan, as well as possible joint actions to resolve the situation in that country," the report reads.
According to the press service, "the sides also exchanged views on upcoming international events within the framework of various initiatives and platforms dedicated to the Afghan issue."
