Rossotrudnichestvo to Expand Network of Representative Offices Across Africa

11 February

Rossotrudnichestvo plans to significantly broaden its official presence on the African continent by opening new representative offices, Yevgeny Primakov, the head of the agency, told TASS.

"Currently, Rossotrudnichestvo operates representative offices — known as Russian Houses or Russian Cultural Centers — in seven African nations: Egypt (Cairo and Alexandria), Zambia (Lusaka), Morocco (Rabat), Congo (Brazzaville), Tanzania (Dar es Salaam), Tunisia (Tunis), and Ethiopia (Addis Ababa)," Primakov noted. He also pointed out that a dedicated Rossotrudnichestvo representative is already active within the Russian embassy in South Africa. Looking ahead, the agency is prioritizing a formal expansion of its network throughout the region.
