Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Tanju Bilgiç have discussed efforts to stabilize Afghanistan’s internal political situation, according to a statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website.
“The talks focused on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, with particular attention to ongoing efforts to improve stability in Afghanistan in light of recent developments in Russian-Afghan relations, as well as the current situation in other parts of the Asia-Pacific,” the ministry said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the meeting was held at the request of the Turkish side.
