This year, Tajikistan received quotas for students from 18 countries, with the largest quota being allocated by Russia. Jamshed Dzhurazoda, the First Deputy Education Minister of Tajikistan, told reporters on Tuesday.

"This academic year, quotas were provided for more than 1,300 citizens of Tajikistan. The Russian Federation allocated the largest quota, accommodating 902 students," he stated.

The deputy minister also mentioned that China has offered quotas for 125 students, Kazakhstan for 100 students, and Turkey for 50 students, among other countries providing similar opportunities.

The quota campaign for studying in Russia is carried out in Tajikistan in accordance with a decree issued in Russia in 2013. Additionally, Tajikistan hosts the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University, branches of Moscow State University, National Research Technological University "MISIS," and National Research University "MPEI."
