Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov revealed plans for Russia and African countries to create shared standards for oil and gas equipment, according to TASS.
"The Russian-African technological partnership, which was dormant since the post-Soviet era, is now becoming relevant again. I believe that this presents a very promising market, and I see great prospects for both modernizing and constructing power generation facilities, as well as engaging in geological exploration and pipeline construction. Another significant area of collaboration could be the joint development of standards for oil and gas equipment," Shulginov stated.
"There is already a considerable amount of our equipment and technologies in Africa, and we aim to increase this presence even further. At the very least, we should focus on providing maintenance and modernization services for this equipment. We are irreplaceable in this regard," the minister emphasized.
