Companies from Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed to implement joint projects in the export of IT-services, the press service of the Russian ministry of economic development reported on Tuesday, following the first meeting of the subcommittee on interregional and cross-border cooperation of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between the countries.
"Regional companies from the Russian side are interested in developing cooperation in information and communication technologies, export of IT services and exchange of experience in the field of IT. Specialists of the ministry of economic development of Russia are ready to invite experts of the ministry of digital development, communications and mass media, other interested departments and companies to increase mutual cooperation with Kazakhstan in IT-industry," the press service of the ministry quoted Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach.
It is noted that 26 Russian regions are currently cooperating with Kazakhstan, implementing about 40 projects. The key task of the subcommittee is to help companies and regions implement bilateral projects. The countries are already implementing joint projects in logistics, container shipping, agriculture, food, start-ups. Cooperation of technoparks is also promising, as well as projects in the field of information technology.
"Today we have laid the beginning of work in a new area for us, we have heard representatives of the regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, who talked about the implementation of joint projects, shared new ideas for cooperation. As a result of the bilateral meeting, the interested parties were able to exchange contacts and, together with partners, determine steps for further cooperation. <...> I am convinced that such meetings contribute significantly to the development of cooperation between our countries. For our part, we are ready to support promising projects that can benefit the economies of Russia and Kazakhstan," stressed Volvach.
