Russia and Lebanon intend to maintain close coordination at multilateral forums, including on human rights issues and emerging challenges and threats, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said following a meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky and Lebanon’s ambassador to Moscow, Bachir Saleh Azzam.
During the meeting, Lyubinsky wished the Lebanese diplomat success as he begins his posting in Russia.
“The sides confirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining close coordination on multilateral platforms, including on human rights issues and new challenges and threats,” the ministry said, adding that the parties also discussed several current issues on the regional and international agenda.
