Russia and Saudi Arabia Stress Need for De-Escalation in the Middle East

Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Saudi Ambassador to Moscow Abdel Rahman bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad highlighted the urgent need for a ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone to de-escalate tensions in the region. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

"During the meeting, the importance of an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone was emphasized to alleviate the extremely tense military and political situation in the Middle East," the foreign ministry stated.

 

The discussions also covered the further development of multifaceted Russian-Saudi relations, including the continuation of active political dialogue.

 

The meeting was initiated by the Saudi ambassador.
