Moscow calls on participants in the Vienna process to resume negotiations as soon as possible to restore the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said on his Twitter page on Sunday.
"We call for an early resumption of the Vienna talks on restoring the JCPOA. We hope to see [EU deputy secretary-general for foreign affairs Enrique] Mora and other colleagues at the negotiating table soon," he wrote.
Ulyanov added that Russia welcomes the results of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director-general Rafael Grossi's visit to Tehran.
Face-to-face talks between Iran and the international "five" (Russia, Britain, Germany, China and France) have been underway in Vienna since April to restore the nuclear agreement to its original form, which implies lifting US sanctions on Iran, Tehran's fulfillment of its nuclear obligations, and the return of the United States to the deal. Producing weapons-grade uranium in Iran is a violation of the terms of the deal.
