The Russian side has expressed its commitment to providing ongoing financial assistance to Afghanistan. Zamir Kabulov, the Russian Special Presidential Representative for Afghanistan, told reporters following the fifth session of the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan.
"We are committed to extending financial aid to Afghanistan. However, such determinations are within the purview of the President and the government of the Russian Federation," clarified the diplomat.
Kabulov also highlighted that Russia's support extends through contributions to the UN World Food Program. He elaborated, "We provide assistance in various ways: through the UN, directly, and independently. Furthermore, the Afghan diaspora in Russia has recently coordinated the collection and delivery of aid, showcasing the diverse nature of our assistance efforts."
