Russia remains focused on further bolstering its strategic partnership with Kyrgyzstan and stands ready to collaborate on ensuring regional security. This commitment was reaffirmed in Bishkek during a meeting between Russian Ambassador Sergei Vakunov and the Secretary of the Kyrgyz Security Council, Adilet Orozbekov.
According to a statement from the Russian diplomatic mission, both sides emphasized the importance of the steady development of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation, grounded in mutual respect, equality, and shared interests. A key focus of the discussion was the collective effort required to preserve their shared historical memory. Russia expressed its ongoing readiness to contribute to regional stability and to join forces in countering contemporary challenges and threats.
Vakunov and Orozbekov expressed confidence that this high level of engagement serves the long-term interests of both nations, fostering sustainable and peaceful development.
"The conversation included a thorough exchange of views on pressing issues within the international security agenda. The Russian side confirmed its unwavering intent to strengthen allied relations and deepen coordination with the Kyrgyz Republic through their respective specialized agencies," the embassy noted.
During the meeting, Vakunov presented Orozbekov with a gift on behalf of Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu: a documentary collection titled "Republics for the Front: 1941-1945," commemorating their shared history during the Great Patriotic War.
