Russia to keep educational quotas for citizens of Turkmenistan at the same level

Russian authorities have allocated a quota of 250 state-financed places for citizens of Turkmenistan in secondary and higher education institutions for the forthcoming academic year, which corresponds to last year's level. This was reported to TASS on Wednesday by First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan and Rossotrudnichestvo representative Yulia Zaitseva.


"Turkmenistan is allocated a quota of 250 places for admission to educational programs of secondary vocational, higher and additional vocational education in educational institutions of higher education of the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to medical and creative professions. For the first time this year new directions of specialties were added under the Russian Ministry of Transport," she said specifying that last year the quota was at the same level.


Training of Turkmen students within the quota is financed by the Russian budget. Applications are accepted at the education-in-russia.com portal. Registration will last until February 20, 2023.
