Russia plans to implement visa-free travel agreements with China, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia in the near future, according to materials prepared for a strategic session on tourism development.
The documents outline "Plans and targets for the future," specifically mentioning the "Achievement of visa-free regimes with China, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia in the near future."
The simplification of visa procedures with several countries has already attracted an additional 2 million foreign tourists. Authorities aim to increase the number of foreign tourist trips to Russia by 11 million by 2030, building upon the current baseline of 5 million visits.
