Russian and Pakistani special forces use latest mine-clearing robots during exercises

The Russian and Pakistani militaries used the latest "Uran-6" robotic complex for demining objects during the joint exercise "Druzhba-2021" at a training ground in the Krasnodar Territory. This was reported in the press service of the Southern military district (SMD).


" The military personnel of Pakistan's special purpose unit have studied the use of robotic demining complexes "Uran-6", got acquainted with the work of Russian colleagues in the arrangement of engineering obstacles, demining terrain, objects and overcoming mine and explosive obstacles," the message reads.


A military robot overcame mine-blast obstacles and cleared various objects. Also, military engineers of the South military district conducted training on the electrical method of blasting structures. "The military personnel of Pakistan also studied the installation of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices and non-explosive barriers," the SMD specified.


The joint Russian-Pakistani exercise "Druzhba-2021" will last until October 9 and will end with a joint tactical and special exercise on the action of an assault company in the storming of settlements and facilities. About 100 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and about 100 servicemen of the Southern military district are taking part in the exercise.
