Statement of the conference participants

As it was stated in the statement adopted following the conference, representatives of coordinating councils of organizations of Russian compatriots living in Africa and the Middle East confirmed "the aspiration to keep the consolidation of the diaspora on the basis of an all-Russian cultural identity.

The participants of the meeting expressed solidarity with like-minded people all over the world in support of Russian compatriots who "have to suffer the consequences of anti-Russian campaign in a number of countries unfriendly to Russia, which led to unacceptable xenophobia, prejudiced hostile attitude to the Russian people, Russia, the Russian language, ignorant attempts of so-called cancellation of everything Russian."

" The fact that compatriots in this difficult period have continued to support the Russian language, honor the glorious Russian history, cherish the memory of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, and adhere to Russian spiritual values that we adopted from our parents and which we pass on to our children deserves deep respect," the statement reads.

The authors of the document also stressed that anti-Russian sanctions have a negative impact on global food security. "Sanction restrictions lead to the deterioration of the situation in the field of global food security, fraught with humanitarian catastrophe in countries in need. We categorically condemn this inhumane unipolar approach. In the conditions of the changing world we express our willingness to support in practice not only humanitarian but also economic, financial and trade bridges, uniting the countries of Africa and the Middle East with Russia", stated the participants of the conference.
