Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Omani Ambassador to Moscow Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih discussed the Middle East agenda on Friday, including the situation in Yemen, Syria, and Sudan.
"The conversation included an exchange of views on topical issues of the Middle East agenda with a focus on the situation in Yemen, Syria and Sudan, as well as in the Persian Gulf zone," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement published on its website.
Smolensk Square noted that the sides also discussed promising areas for the development of bilateral cooperation, "including the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels."
