Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Sudanese Ambassador to Moscow Mohammed Sirraj discussed Middle East and African issues on Tuesday.
"An in-depth exchange of views on topical Middle East and African issues took place with a focus on the importance of further foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Khartoum," the diplomatic office said in a statement.
The Russian foreign ministry noted that the discussion covered some practical issues of Russian-Sudanese mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian areas in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached following the February 9 visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Khartoum.
The meeting was held at the request of the Sudanese diplomat.
