In the near future, Russia is set to establish several foreign institutions, including two embassies and five consulates general, as confirmed by State Secretary - Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Ivanov in an interview with kp.ru.
"Decisions on opening embassies in Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea, general consulates in Kapan (Armenia), Aktau (Kazakhstan), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Denpasar (Indonesia), and Male (Maldives) have already been made and agreed with the authorities of the host states," Ivanov stated.
Highlighting the commitment to further expansion, he added, "The plans for the coming years include opening diplomatic and consular missions in a number of states located in geographical regions that have become key for us in accordance with the new Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, approved by Presidential Decree No. 229 of March 31, 2023."
