Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin and Jordanian Ambassador in Moscow Khaled Shawabkeh discussed the situation in Syria and issues of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement on Thursday.
"There was a detailed exchange of views on issues of Russian-Jordanian cooperation at the UN and other international platforms on regional and global issues, including the situation in Syria and the problems of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The sides also touched upon some practical issues of further strengthening of traditionally friendly Russian-Jordanian relations.
The meeting was held at the request of the Jordanian diplomat.
