Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discussed with Russian ambassadors in Central Asia the implementation of Putin's objectives

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko on Tuesday in Tashkent discussed in detail with Russian ambassadors in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) the practical implementation of the tasks assigned to the Russian diplomatic service by President Vladimir Putin after an extended session of Russian Foreign Ministry Board held on November 18.

 

"The current situation in the region and the influence of neighboring and major extra-regional states on it were analyzed in detail. Participants of the meeting discussed the results of work on promotion of Russian foreign policy priorities in line with the strategic privileged partnership and alliance with the states of Central Asia," reads the report of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

The Foreign Ministry said the Russian side noted its commitment to "constructive, trusting interaction" to create favorable conditions for security and stability in the region. "They considered topical tasks of interaction with partners at regional and international platforms, first of all in the CIS, EAEC, CSTO and SCO," the ministry stressed. - "Attention was drawn to the great potential for further deepening of trade, economic and investment cooperation with the countries of the region. The need for diplomatic support of bilateral projects in this sphere, which are important for Russia and Central Asia, was emphasized".

 

The parties also discussed in detail "new challenges and threats" for the countries of the region, taking into account the current situation in Afghanistan and possible prospects for its development. The diplomatic mission added, "A comprehensive analysis of the activities of Russian diplomatic missions in Central Asia and their staff and material and technical support was given. The practice of holding meetings in this format was noted to be in demand".
