Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Moroccan Ambassador to Moscow Lotfi Bouchaara discussed bilateral ties on Monday. Among other things, they paid attention to maintaining political dialogue on resolving problems in the Middle East and North Africa.
"During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of further progressive development of Russia-Morocco traditionally friendly relations, including maintaining an active political dialogue on the issues of resolving persistent problems in the Middle East and North Africa on the basis of international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The meeting was held at the request of a Moroccan diplomat.
