Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses UN Security Council Resolutions with Gulf Ambassadors

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Alimov, met with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) to discuss draft United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning the situation in the Middle East. 

 

The primary focus of the meeting was the draft resolution prepared by Bahrain regarding Iranian strikes on the territory of several Middle Eastern states. Additionally, the parties discussed the document proposed by Russia, which aims for a swift end to the confrontation in the Middle East and a transition of the conflict toward a political and diplomatic resolution.
