The Russian embassy in Guinea reported that it assesses the security situation in the republic as satisfactory, but against the background of an attempted coup d'etat, normal diplomatic work has been disrupted.
"The security situation in the country is satisfactory, there is no immediate threat to the embassy," the diplomatic mission told TASS. At the same time, the embassy stressed that against the background of the events in the republic "normal diplomatic work, of course, is disrupted."
Earlier, the Russian diplomatic mission reported that there were about 500 Russian citizens on the territory of Guinea, and there were no alarming reports from them. The embassy also advised Russians to be careful and not to leave their homes.
