Russian Foreign Ministry Announces Visa-Free Agreements with African and Middle Eastern Countries

02 October

Russia is working on visa-free agreements with nine countries in Africa and the Middle East, according to Alexei Klimov, head of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS.

“The development of agreements on lifting visa requirements, which would allow visa-free entry for short-term visits, typically up to 90 days, is currently underway with several friendly countries, including nine in Africa and the Middle East,” Klimov noted.

He did not specify when these agreements might be finalized, as negotiations are at different stages with each country, and the process varies based on specific circumstances.

“As always, we will promptly inform the public once concrete results are achieved, resulting in officially signed bilateral agreements,” concluded Klimov.
